Former governor of Abia State and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Orji Kalu, has described the party as the only brand that can guarantee the welfare of Nigerians.
He made this known while addressing a cross-section of PDP members
based in Guangzhou at the Sheraton Guangzhou, China, yesterday.
Kalu who used the opportunity to commend President Jonathan’s efforts in tackling the security challenges facing the country, stated that the issue of Boko Haram has been politicized. He said, “We should desist from playing politics with issues of national concern. Everyone irrespective of political and religious divides should rise up to support the fight against terrorism in the interest of Nigeria. The country belongs to all”.
He praised the national leadership for inaugurating regional integration committees to reconcile aggrieved members of the party. In his words, “The initiative is timely and will take the party to greater heights. I pledge my personal, followers and supporters' support for genuine reconciliation in our great party, PDP”.

(NEC) of the PDP for endorsing President Jonathan as the presidential
candidate of the party in next year’s election, called on Nigerians both home and abroad to vote for President Jonathan in the 2015 election.
